The Impact of Parenting Styles and Parent and Child Risk Factors on Child Behavioral and Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The study examined the influence of parenting styles—authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved—along with parent- and child-related factors on the behavior and learning of preschool children. The findings revealed significant associations between parenting styles, parental stress, and children's behavioral problems, with the uninvolved style showing the strongest effect on behavior.
